About Us

Nadia Shamsi focuses her practice exclusively on family law. She is a Certified Financial Litigator and has handled an array of family law matters, including complex high-asset divorces, post-decree modifications and enforcement, contested parentage cases, grandparent visitation, maintenance and child support, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, orders of protection, and other family-related matters.

Nadia was named one of the 10 Best Attorneys for Client Satisfaction in Illinois by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys every year from 2017 through 2021. This award recognizes exceptional and outstanding client service. She was also recognized as a Rising Star in the field of Family Law by the American Institute of Legal Advocates. Nadia is also a Certified Financial Litigator and a member of the American Academy for Certified Financial Litigators.

Nadia is committed to using her knowledge and experience as a family law attorney to help people in need, particularly women and those experiencing poverty. She regularly provides services to immigrant women, many of whom were brought to this country without knowledge of the language, culture or their rights as spouses. Nadia has helped them to navigate the divorce process, including parenting and financial issues, often working hand-in-hand with immigration attorneys to make sure these women’s rights are preserved.

Nadia also serves on the Ambassadors Board for Legal Aid Chicago, a non-profit organization that resolves critical legal problems that trap people in poverty. Additionally, she is an active member of the Hinsdale Junior Woman’s Club, an all-volunteer organization that provides services and grants to help women and children.
